Making a difference on wheels

Each Christmas the Knights give out nearly 200 bicycles to children of need in the county as part of the Bikes for Boys and Girls program.

This Saturday, for National Make a Difference Day, the Pythians are going to try to ensure every child and their bikes are safe.

National Make a Difference Day this year coincides with the annual National Volunteer Day for the Knights of Pythias.

And for the R.A. Driesbach, Sr. Lodge 77 Knights of Pythias/Order of Calanthe, that will mean that from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. ET Saturday, the Knights will conduct a bike safety, repair and inspection program at the Pythias Hall located at Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. Blvd. and Avenue C.
