Meeting Notes

Return to Monte Bello Meetings
During the meeting, the following items were discussed:
We did meet this past Monday, and nine Brothers were in attendance;
Hermon Graham, Marvin Whisenant, Dan Richardson, Ken Patterson, Steve Edwards, Ed Yeilding, Jim Harris, Robert Steen, and Rob Tyree. The following Brothers were absent due to circumstances beyond their control, Harry Williams was out due to having shingles, Danny Hendrix was out due to his Aunt Shirley being in the Hospital and being very ill, and Leslie Johnson was teaching a class in Seattle, Washington. Harry's and Danny's situations were discussed during the meeting, and all Brothers were asked to keep them and their families in their prayers.
The book to be purchased for the Florence Lauderdale County Library in memorial to Brother Dan Howard was discussed. Brother Robert Steen and Brother Dan Richardson have been working on this project. They have contacted Dan's wife, Anne, and Lee Freeman at the library. Anne deferred to Lee for the most appropriate book for this donation, and Lee said he needed to do some research and would get back to our lodge with a suggestion.
Because Brother Leslie Johnson was unavailable, no discussion was made about the proposed diversion program for troubled youth. The group agreed to hold any further conference until his return. The routine business matters, including the reading of the past meeting minutes, the treasurer's report, old business, new business, and distressed members, were discussed and voted on with nothing else to cover. The meeting was adjourned, with the next meeting scheduled for Monday, July 25th. Have a great weekend, and I hope to see you on the 25th.
