December Fellowship Luncheon

  • Mongolian Grill 121 Cox Creek Road Florence USA (map)

The KOP will meet at its usual place, the Mongolian Grill at 121 Cox Creek Road, in Florence on Monday, December 9th, beginning at 11:30 AM. However, beyond that, it will not be our usual meeting format. It is a fellowship luncheon for Lodge members, their family and friends and does not include a meeting. Special entertainment will be provided. Anyone wishing to attend this luncheon and wanting to meet with the Lodge members informally is welcome. This will be the last meeting for our lodge this year.

Next year's meetings will follow this year's protocol, with the meetings being the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at the Mongolian Grill with lunch beginning at 11:30 AM, followed by the business meeting and other appropriate business. Our first meeting in 2020 will be Monday, January 13th. The Lodge Members wish to say Happy Holidays, Happy Hankanka, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to the citizens of Florence and Lauderdale Counties and may 2020 be very prosperous for all.

Myra, thank you so much for all of your help and support this year and our thanks to all the staff at TimesDaily and the Courier Journal. We have had a successful year, and part of the credit goes to you and your staff for helping us communicate with the public. Have a great Thanksgiving, Holiday Season, and the Best of Christmases and New Year.

Don't forget to bring your spouse or a significant other.  My wife can not come but I am bringing my daughter-in-law in her place.  Brother Dan Richardson has booked a comedian, R.C. Hood to do the entertainment.  He was recommended by the folks at the Cloverdale Community Center and the lady who impersonates Minnie Pearl.  Minnie Pearl is going to be out of town and isn't available.  On another note, Benjamin Keaton has reached out to us through our Alabama Website expressing an interest in becoming a member.  At this time I am not sure where he hails from and I do not have any more information.  I thought if he is from this area some of you might know him.  I gave him my phone number and asked that he call me so we can talk further.  I'll keep you posted about his intentions and interest.  In the meantime have a great week and enjoy the Christmas season.  God Bless and I hope to see you this Monday.
