The Supreme Lodge has been gracious enough to supply us with a contact to make conference calls at no cost to our membership or lodge. We were encouraged to hold a conference call to check on our members and ensure that none of our Brothers or Brother's family needed anything during this period. Additionally, we can use this time to discuss the upcoming Sportsman Dinner and Auction in August and shore up for Marvin, who is attending and need of a seat.
Unfortunately, I missed the boat about the Shoals Cerebral Palsy Telethon, which was held in early March. I apologize to all of you for this misstep. My intent had been to advertise this event at our Website and on our Facebook page. I had wanted to include a donation button at the top of our Facebook page to encourage those visiting our Page to donate to this very worthy cause. If Danny can make this call, I would like to use our resources to assist in generating donations toward this worthy cause. We are here to help our members with advertising and fundraising for charitable nonprofit organizations. I am getting likes on our Facebook several times each week from people all over the Country. I also receive emails from various people with questions about past members and the KOP from people who have visited the Grand Lodge Website. So our tools are reaching people.
The Conference Call will take place this coming Monday, March 30th, at 11 AM. An email was sent with the phone number and meeting number.
This is an unofficial meeting as we can not vote on any matters or record any actions we discuss per KOP rules. The purpose is simply to allow us to touch base with one another since we had to cancel our meeting on March 23rd and are not scheduled to meet again until April 13th. The April 13th meeting is still only tentative and may be canceled as well due to the current health concerns. I have reached out to our brothers from other lodges and invited them to join as well.
On another note, I am happy to report that my daughter is entirely well. My wife is still on the mend but doing well. My dizziness is almost completely dissipated, but the Doctor still wants to see me in his office after everything else calms down. With all of this said, I hope to talk with you on Monday at 11 AM. Have a great weekend. Later this weekend, I will resend to the phone number and access code for this conference call via text for those with a smartphone.
