Good Afternoon and I hope this email finds everyone doing well.
For those who could not make it to the meeting, due to construction at the Mongolian Grill, Brother Dan was not able to do his program so it will be held at our next meeting on August 26th. We did have the business part of our meeting where it was decided we would try to have Brother Ken Patterson do the program for the first meeting in September which will fall on the 9th and Brother Ed Yeilding do the program on September 23rd. Several Brothers reported that Brother Ed is doing much better and that he wished he could have attended our meeting today. We also discussed the upcoming Alabama Grand Lodge Meeting on Saturday, August 24th. It is essential that as many of our lodge brothers who can attend this meeting to ensure we set new goals for our Grand Lodge. The meeting will be held at the Masonic Lodge in Townley, Walker County, Alabama, south of and less than 2 hours from Florence. As more information develops for this meeting, I will communicate it out. Have a great afternoon, and I hope to see you in Townley in a couple of weeks.
Today we had a new visitor to our Lodge Meeting, Clyde "Bucky" Beaver. Bucky retired from UNA as the director over the maintenance at the University and is good friends with Brother Dan Howard and Brother Robert Steen and was highly recommended to be accepted as a new lodge member. Hopefully, Bucky will accept us as a new part of his family and become a regular at our meetings. I have added him to our roster, and I am providing him with a copy of the member list as well. Sorry I did not include this in my original email earlier. Have a great evening.
